The course allows the participants to:
- Understand the structure of the English Education System
- Understand the Curricular arrangements for the Foundation Stage
- Understand the structure, values and aims of the National Curriculum
- Begin to familiarise self with the many acronyms in use in the English Education System
What is the National Curriculum for England?
- full and statutory entitlement to learning for all pupils
- It determines the content of what will be taught
- sets attainment targets for learning
- gives teachers, pupils, parents, employers and their wider community a clear and shared understanding of the skills and knowledge that young people will gain at school
